One group, one goal
In spring 1997, Stefan Zöllig founded Timbatec in Steffisburg as a sole proprietorship. Since then, Timbatec has grown into a successful timber construction engineering firm. 25 years after the foundation of the sole proprietorship, we have grown into a group with several companies: the Timbagroup. All of them pursue a common goal: "To increase the market share of timber construction in the building industry". Each company makes its own contribution.

The Timbagroup is a group of companies with the aim of increasing the market share of timber construction. Stefan Zöllig is the owner of the group and founder of all companies.
Timbatec is the origin of the group and, as an innovative engineering company, has been promoting the use of wood as a raw material for over 25 years. We are constantly developing new technologies and are thus part and driver of modern timber construction in the city.
The TS3 technology enables a column-and-slab construction method made of wood that was previously only possible with reinforced concrete. With TS3, timber construction can open up new markets and thus completely free building construction from steel and concrete in the long term.
Scrimber
More efficient products for the construction market are needed to meet the large demand for wood building products. Scrimber is a technology for producing full-value building materials from wood by-products. This is a contribution to climate protection.
Timbase
Wooden basements are the next step in the elimination of steel and concrete. Timbase has the expertise for timber components in contact with the ground and, as a total contractor, offers the planning, manufacture, delivery, assembly and guarantee for timber basements.
Timber Finance
In response to the timber construction megatrend, Timber Finance unlocks and monetises the climate potential of the forestry and timber industry through modern CO2, financial instruments and knowledge transfer, mobilises impact capital for the compensation of the climate performance of the forestry, timber construction and finance industry and thus decarbonises the construction industry and plant portfolios.
